Antibiotic
Resistance
Anti
biotics
An inherent risk associated with
the use of antibiotics is the natural
selection of micro-organisms that
are resistant to antibiotics. The
appearance in human pathogens of
multiple resistance to antibiotics has
focused attention on both human
and veterinary use of these valuable
medicines. It is important that both
doctors and vets are responsible in
the way that antibiotics are used.
