LIVESTOCK MATTERS
WORKING
TOGETHER
FOR A HEALTHIER FUTURE...
Grassroots Feed Check aims to provide those
with an interest in a dairy herd’s nutritional
status, with a full analysis of milk composition
by stage of lactation.
The reports are structured with a production
overview panel that gives a snapshot of the
herd’s heifer, yield and fertility performance,
followed by milk compositional analysis by
days calved. Current performance and trends
over time are presented for freshly calved,
mid-lactation, late-lactation and stale cows.
Lists of cows are generated for animals
with extreme variations in milk protein and
butterfats. Vets are able to add comments,
including any actions required.
New to the Grassroots Herd Check
family is Feed Check. This report
harnesses the latest knowledge of
the relationship between milk
composition, energy status, fertility
and risk of rumen acidosis.
